MacLean Power Systems is pleased to introduce the addition of the Aluminum Vise Clamp product family to our lineup.
Aluminum Vise Clamps, commonly called AVC’s, are bolt-operated clamps used on overhead distribution systems for main line tap connections of aluminum-to-aluminum or aluminum-to-copper conductors.
AVC’s are made from cast aluminum with stainless steel hardware. The clamps have inhibitor loaded in the run and tap positions and are individually packed in a marked poly bag. The main groove accepts ACSR or aluminum conductor and the tap groove is compatible with ACSR, aluminum, or copper conductor.
A grommets option is available for all sizes. The grommets are made of neoprene and are installed on the spacer bar. They aid with installation by holding the spacer bar in place.
The product line is comprised of nine sizes and each is available with or without the grommets option. The clamps have inhibitor loaded in the run and tap positions and are individually packed in a marked poly bag.
Also available is a snap-on cover to provide environmental protection of the connection where desired. There are 2 models of plastic covers that are compatible with several models of AVC and cover all nine AVC sizes.
