The SAE Clean Snowmobile Challenge (CSC) is an engineering design competition for college and university student members that challenge engineering students to re engineer an existing snowmobile to reduce emissions and noise. Their modified snowmobiles will compete in a variety of events including emissions, noise, fuel economy/endurance, acceleration, handling, static display, cold start and design. This years competition will take place at Michigan Tech University's Keweenaw Research Center in Calumet, MI on March 5-10, 2018.
MacLean-Fogg is always excited to sponsor the SAE Clean Snowmobile Challenge. During this competition, participating teams from several universities across the United States compete for their chance to win "The MacLean-Fogg Cup". In 2017 in the Internal Combustion Class, First Place was awarded to Canada's École de Technologie Supérieure, followed by University of Wisconsin-Madison in Second Place and University of Minnesota, Duluth in Third. Congratulations to all participating teams in the 2017 competition. We're looking forward to next year's engineering innovation!
